I’ve put off writing this about page for over a year! It’s been too long to keep saying, “I don’t know what to write about myself.” With that said, here it goes!
I am a 24 year old Texan with a 3 year old kid that makes me want to pull my hair out, a girlfriend that I met on Match.com, and a Dachsund that snores at the weirdest times because she has a deviated septum.
I am a Computer Science student at Midwestern State University, and I am currently acting as president of the MSU chapter of ACM. At school, I have also participated in some research including the iMustangs project (building an iOS app for MSU) and UGROW (where I worked with Dr. Jeff Hood on an algorithm to programmatically solve puzzles based only on the outer edges of the puzzle pieces).
I am proud to be a Shriner. You know, those old guys that wear those weird looking red hats at parades. And yes, this also means I am a freemason.
I currently volunteer as a board member for the Children’s Aid Society in Wichita Falls. This was an opportunity given to me through the MSU Honors Program that Dr. Michael Vandehey set me up with.
I work for a couple of certified badasses, Nick Reese and Duane Anderson, at Microbrand Media. Cindy Watrous is another amazing member of this team.
I am an Apple fanboy. I am currently rocking an iPad2, an iPhone 4s, and a MacBook Pro (not retina, yet).
I consider myself a junior web developer. Note, I did not say I was a great designer
My workflow usually includes Espresso, WordPress, Thesis, Gravity Forms, and LESS when I’m building from scratch.
